The guests are very large! They’re 89.9x140mm, and the best sleeves we’ve found for them are Sleeve Kings 8XL 90mm x 140mm. There are 30 guest cards, so you only need 1 pack of sleeves.

Yes! When you choose the “Play a Guest” action, you can send a guest home, seat a guest, or both send a guest home and seat a new guest! (It has to be in that order, though. You can’t seat a guest then send one home)

Yes and no. You can place your new guest to the left, right, or in between your current guests, sliding your current guests over to make room. You can’t take this opportunity to switch your current guests around, though.

Yes! When you choose the “Use Plate Abilities” action, you can (and usually want to) use all of your guests’ Plate Abilities.

No. You may choose the “Use Plate Abilities” action once per course, even if you don’t use all of your guests’ Plate Abilities on that turn. Use them or lose them.

There are no “blank spaces” among your guests—if you have 3 guests and the middle one gets up, the left and the right one are now neighbors with each other. Think of it as if they are on a bench, and they slide over when there’s more room. Just the same, if you and your opponent each have 2 guests, your right guest is neighbors with your left guest and your opponent’s rightmost guest.

You are effectively choosing two guests who are next to each other to each receive a Drama token or each receive a Compliment token from the Kitchen. Important notes:

• The first guest you choose must be one of yours
• The second guest you choose must be one of that guest’s neighbors (but only one of that guest’s neighbors, not both)
• The two chosen guests will both get a Drama, or both get a Compliment. They both get the same type of token
• The second guest can be an opponent’s

All of your guests go home at the same time. Then, wrap up the game in this order:

1. Move all of your guests’ matching tokens to your Stash (as normal)
2. Choose any bonus tokens that your guests’ abilities would give you for sending guests home (like Ted Joans), as well as any Perfectly Content bonuses (as normal). In rare cases, which tokens players choose to take for their bonuses may be influenced by the others players’ choices. In these cases, have all players secretly choose their bonus tokens and conceal them in their closed fists. Once all players have chosen, reveal the tokens you chose.
3. Resolve each of your guests’ Door Abilities in the order of your choice.
4. Any abilities that send guests tokens will not matter, because there are no guests left to receive tokens!
5. (Advanced Mode) “Most in Stash” Faux Pas cards are claimed

Faux Pas cards are optional special objectives that are worth additional tokens at the end of the game for the players who claim them. There are two types; “First to 4” Faux Pas cards are immediately claimed by the first player to get 4 of a specific token type in their Stash. “Most in Stash” Faux Pas cards are claimed at the end of the game by the player who has the most of a specific type of token in their Stash. If players are tied for the most of a token type, they share the Faux Pas and both get the bonus. “First to 4” Faux Pas cards that you claim add 2 to your token total at the end of the game, and “Most in Stash” Faux Pas cards add 4.

At the start of the game each player is dealt 2 Faux Pas cards. Look at your Faux Pas cards, then look at your hand of guest cards. Choose one or both of your Faux Pas cards to make available to everyone—choose the card(s) you think you’ll be able to claim given the guests in your hand. Put the chosen card(s) next to the Platter, and discard the one you didn’t choose to the box (you must choose to make at least 1 card available and discard the other, but you may choose both and discard none).

Once chosen, Faux Pas cards are available to anyone, so it’s very possible that the Faux Pas you chose will be claimed by another player! You don’t get to see the Faux Pas cards that your opponents choose before you choose yours. You may wish to play chosen Faux Pas cards face down beside the Platter, only turning them face up once all players have chosen.

First you see which 2 Faux Pas cards you will choose from, then you draft your hand of guest cards, and finally you choose which 1 (or both) of the Faux Pas cards you will make available to everyone.
