A recent article for the Weather Channel written by Matt Hongoltz-Hetling and titled “Plaything Through Pandemics” discusses the ways in which board games can tackle real-world issues. One of those board games featured in the piece is our very own Awkward Moment! Hongoltz-Hetling refers to Mary’s approach when designing Awkward Moment and other games and how she likes to subvert expectations to invite conversation rather than forcing it.
